Saudi Aramco this week today announced the commencement of work on the construction of the Aramco Stadium.

With a capacity of approximately 47,000 seats, the new stadium in al-Khobar is expected to be completed by 2026, and will become the main stadium for the Saudi Aramco-owned Al-Qadisiyah Club.

The new stadium will be one of the main venues for the AFC Asian Cup, which will be hosted by the Kingdom in 2027.

Saudi Aramco, in collaboration with ROSHN Group, a leading national real-estate developer and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, is building a football stadium that embodies the latest international technology and integrated cooling systems, designed to provide an ideal environment for spectators. 

The shape of the stadium, which combines originality and innovation, is inspired by the kinds of whirlpools seen on the city's coastline.

This architectural masterpiece reinforces the Kingdom's position as the host of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, as the stadium is expected to be the main station for hosting the most prominent sporting and entertainment events in the region.

It is also expected to be a leading destination in the Eastern Province with its VIP sections and suites, with facilities designed to take into account the needs of the community and people with special needs.
